Dusty Brown - Owner
Dusty Brown has been part of the electrical industry since 1982. He completed his apprenticeship through ABC, Associated Builders & Contractors, and is a licensed Master Electrician. With experience spanning residential wiring and large-scale commercial contracting, Dusty previously led estimating and service operations before founding Electrical Associates.
A strong advocate for leadership and workforce development, Dusty remains actively involved with ABC and continues to guide the company’s long-term vision. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, lake time, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Doug Reaser - Owner
Doug Reaser serves as an Owner of Electrical Associates, focusing on estimating, sales, and contract negotiations. He brings more than 35 years of experience in the electrical industry, having held roles ranging from apprentice and Master Electrician to NICET-certified professional, senior estimator, project manager, and owner.
Doug specializes in the design-build approach, helping clients achieve efficient, cost-effective electrical solutions. He is an active member of Foundry Church in Lenexa, Kansas, and enjoys time with his wife, Peggy, their children, and their grandchildren.
Kyle Brown – Partner/Project Manager
Kyle Brown brings over 10 years of experience across residential, commercial, and service electrical work. He is a graduate of the ABC Electrical Apprenticeship Program and specializes in project management and technology integration. Kyle currently serves as an estimator and project manager for commercial and service projects.
As a Partner, Kyle is actively involved in succession planning and the company’s long-term growth. He also volunteers with Catholic Charities through the TurnStyles ministry. Kyle and his wife, Nicole, live in the Kansas City area with their two children.
Brett Campbell – Partner/Estimating
Brett Campbell has been with Electrical Associates since 2020 and brings more than 20 years of electrical industry experience. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology and is a licensed Master Electrician. Brett’s background includes residential, service, and commercial electrical work, and he now serves as a full-time estimator and Partner.
Known for his attention to detail and analytical approach, Brett plays a key role in evaluating project scope, cost, and constructability. He also supports long-term succession planning to ensure continuity and growth. Brett lives in Olathe with his wife, Amy, and their two children.
Barbara Farnan - Finance Manager
Barbara Farnan brings over 20 years of experience in both the electrical and financial fields. As Finance Manager, she oversees accounts payable and receivable, billing, payroll, and project coordination, ensuring smooth daily operations. Her expertise spans construction processes, accounting systems, and financial software.
Barbara is actively involved in community projects, public speaking, and charitable organizations, including the Farnan Spirituality Center. In her spare time, she enjoys supporting the Royals and Chiefs and spending time with family and friends.
Mark Zahner – Project Manager
Mark Zahner serves as a Project Manager and mentor at Electrical Associates. A licensed Master Electrician, Mark has over 40 years of experience and extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local regulations. His career includes work as an electrician, service technician, senior superintendent and senior project manager.
Mark and his wife, Karen, live in the metro area and have two grown children.
David Ferrell – Project Manager
David Ferrell is a Project Manager with experience in the electrical trade since 2012. He holds an Electrical Certificate from Johnson County Community College and is a graduate of the ABC Apprenticeship Program. As a licensed Journeyman Electrician, David brings hands-on expertise in commercial new construction and remodeling projects.
He is passionate about training and mentoring apprentices, leading by example to promote safety, quality, and professionalism.
Tony Tomac - Project Manager
Tony Tomac has been in the electrical trade for 18 years, beginning his career in North Central Kansas before relocating to the Kansas City metro area. He is a graduate of the ABC Apprenticeship Program and has served as an apprenticeship instructor since 2019.
Tony is known for his attention to detail, strong customer relationships, and commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork. He lives in the Kansas City area and enjoys time with his family, including his four adult children and five grandchildren.
Graham Hunt – Project Manager
Graham Hunt is a Master Electrician and Fire Alarm Project Manager at Electrical Associates. He oversees the planning, coordination, and installation of fire alarm systems for commercial and industrial projects. Graham also utilizes TOPCON layout technology to ensure accurate equipment placement and efficient project execution.
Outside of work, Graham and his wife stay busy raising their two daughters and actively volunteering at St. Ann Catholic School and Church.
Lydia Cox – Project Coordinator
Lydia Cox is a Project Coordinator with more than 10 years of experience supporting federal agencies, international offices, and private-sector organizations. Known for her organization, reliability, and teamwork, she has received multiple awards for leadership and dedication.
Lydia excels in fast-paced, detail-oriented environments and is proficient in a wide range of office systems and applications. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, staying active, and caring for her German Shepherd, Mila.
Gavin Cordell – Estimator
Gavin Cordell brings over 10 years of electrical industry experience to his role as Estimator. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Construction and Maintenance from Mitchell Technical College and began his career in commercial electrical fieldwork. After seven years in the field, Gavin transitioned into estimating and project management.
He believes his hands-on experience provides valuable insight into project planning and cost evaluation. Gavin lives in Gardner with his wife, Kara, and their three children.
Chris Cassity – Service Manager
Chris Cassity has been in the electrical trade since 1985, with extensive experience in industrial and commercial service work. As Service Manager, he focuses on special projects and service operations, including generators, UPS systems, power quality, manufacturing facilities, and data centers.
Chris estimates and manages service and construction work and is known for his ability to understand customer needs and adapt to priorities, making him a strong leader in the service division.
Matt Mason – Service Manager
Matt Mason serves as a Service Manager and brings 15 years of electrical industry experience. Since joining Electrical Associates in 2019, Matt has played a key role in strengthening the service department and maintaining the company’s reputation for quality and reliability.
Specializing in residential and commercial service work, Matt emphasizes safety, clear communication, and practical solutions to ensure every job is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Jake Pena – Office Assistant
Jake Pena supports the Accounts Payable department, bringing experience from warehouse operations and retail environments. His background has strengthened his organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to thrive in fast-paced settings. Jake is eager to continue expanding his accounting knowledge while supporting the Electrical Associates team.
