Dusty Brown - Owner, Service Manager, and Senior Project Manager
Dusty brings over 35 years of electrical construction experience to Electrical Associates. Dusty attended ABC apprenticeship training and is a licensed Master Electrician. Dusty started his career in the residential market and moved into supervision and estimating in that market. Dusty then moved into the commercial and industrial wiring field and did numerous projects before starting a Service Department and managed it for fifteen years. In 2007, Dusty decided to make Electrical Associates his full-time endeavor.
Dusty is an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, Knights of Columbus, Board of Directors for Associated Builders and Contractors, KCBS BBQ society, and actively donates time to local charities.
Doug Reaser - Owner, Senior Estimator, and Project Manager
Doug’s roles here at Electrical Associates include estimating, sales and contract negotiations. Doug brings with him over 25 years’ experience in the electrical industry. He has held the positions of apprentice, master electrician, Nicet certified, senior estimator, project manager and owner. Doug specializes in the design/build approach to electrical work. Doug is an active member in Foundry Christian Church in Lenexa, KS. Doug and his wife Peggy have 3 grown children.
Pat Shelley - Vice President Finance
Pat is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Missouri and Kansas. He has been involved in electrical construction in Kansas City for over 40 years. He was President and part owner of a large electric contractor in Lenexa. Pat has been the primary electrical design professional on numerous design/build electrical projects including, office, retail, churches, industrial and recreational facilities. His design and construction projects include:
Lees Summit Subaru, Cornerstone Church, Millennium Business Center, Cretex Manufacturing and Community America Ballpark (home of the T-Bones).
Pat was the yr. 2000 president of Associated Builders and Contractors, Heart of America Chapter and has been involved in many community service projects – most recently with the City Union Mission and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Mark Zahner – Senior Project Manager
Mark’s role here is one of project manager, mentor and estimator. Mark is a master electrician with extensive knowledge of the National Electric Code and local rules and regulations concerning electrical work. Mark has worked in the field as an electrician, service technician and senior superintendent. Mark and his wife, Karen have 2 grown children. They all live in the metro area.
Chris Cassity – Service Manager
Chris has been in the electrical trade since 1985. Chris has a background that includes but not limited to industrial and commercial electrical. His focus is special project and service. He is familiar with Generators, UPS systems, power quality, manufacturing and data centers. Chris estimates and manages construction and service work. His ability to identified customer needs and adjust to customer priority’s makes him ideal for the service industry.
Mike McDaniel – Safety & Training
Mike brings 38 years of electrical construction and service experience to our group. He entered a four year electrical apprenticeship right out of high school, graduated from that program and has been in the electrical trade ever since. He has worked on everything from residential remodels to multi-million dollar industrial facilities. Mike has two children and three grandchildren.
Barbara Farnan - Office Manager
Barbara brings over 15 years of experience in the electrical field to Electrical Associates. She ensures the daily operations run smoothly with her extensive knowledge of the construction field and various software packages. Barbara maintains accounts payable and receivable, as well as monthly billing, project coordination, and payroll. Barbara is actively involved in community projects, public speaking, and her church. In her spare time Barbara enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Keni Mossman - Office Assistant
Keni has been an administrative assistant in a variety of industries including electrical, information systems, and education. She likes to treat us to a variety of treats every holiday season and special occasions. She is a mother of two college girls, active in her church, enjoys scrapbooking, making her own greeting cards, sewing and especially baking. Keni and her husband have been married for 30 years and have made Olathe their home during that time.
